Who we are
Novum Finance is an asset and equipment finance brokerage operated by Bradley Mangan,
Credit Representative 570476, authorised under Australian Credit Licence 511803, held by
Fintelligence, our aggregator. In this policy,
"we", "us" and "our" mean Novum Finance.
What we collect
When you enquire through this website we collect the information you give us:
your name, phone number, email address if you provide one, the type of asset you are looking to
finance, an indicative amount, and how long you have held an ABN.
If you decide to proceed with an application, we will need considerably more: identification, income and expense details, bank statements, ABN and business details, and details of the asset. We will explain what is needed and why before we ask for any of it.
Our website host also records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited. We do not use this to identify you personally.

Cookies and website tracking
This website uses the Meta pixel, a small piece of code provided by
Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram). It records that a page was viewed and, if you submit an
enquiry form, that an enquiry was made. It does this using cookies and similar technology, and the
information is sent to Meta, who may match it to your Facebook or Instagram account if you have one.
We use it for two things: to measure whether our advertising is working, and to show our ads to people whose interests look similar to those of people who have already enquired. We do not upload your name, phone number or email address to Meta, and we do not use it to identify you on this site.
You can limit this. Meta's ad settings at accountscenter.facebook.com/ad_preferences control how your activity is used for advertising, and blocking third-party cookies in your browser, or using private browsing, will stop the pixel from recognising a returning visit. Doing any of this will not affect your ability to use this site or to enquire.

Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, to assess which lenders on our panel are likely to
suit your circumstances, to submit an application on your behalf if you ask us to, and to meet our
obligations under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act and anti-money-laundering law.
If you enquire and do not proceed, we keep your details so we can follow up, unless you tell us not to.

Who we share it with
Lenders and financiers on our panel, but only those we are considering for
your deal, and only with your knowledge. Our aggregator and licensee, as required under our credit
representative arrangement. Service providers who help us operate, for example our website host and
email provider. Regulators, courts or law enforcement where we are legally required to.
Advertising platforms receive website activity data only, as described under "Cookies and website tracking" above.
We do not sell your information. We do not provide it to marketing lists.

Credit reporting
We do not obtain a credit report at the enquiry stage. If you ask us to proceed
with a formal application, a lender may obtain a credit report about you from a credit reporting body,
and that lender's own privacy policy and credit reporting policy will apply. We will tell you before
that happens.
How we store it
Electronically, in software and email systems protected by passwords and
multi-factor authentication where available. Some of these services store data on servers outside
Australia. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised
access, but no system is completely secure.
We keep records for as long as required by law, generally seven years for credit-related records, and destroy or de-identify them when we no longer need them.

Marketing

we will act on it. You can also just tell us to stop and we will.
